Ryan Reynolds dishes on Deadpool debut

After years of climbing the mountain all actors must scale, Ryan Reynolds is now living his dream. His debut in X-Men met with worldwide acclaim, he has a spinoff in motion and has total control, and just for good measure he’s now married to Scarlett Johansson.

Does life get better than this?

After his scenery-chewing star-turn in the Hugh Jackman smash, the Fox suits gave Ryan creative control, and he’s now hard at work making good on their trust. “I love it, because I get to be involved,” he told MTV. “And I’m such a huge fan of the character!”

The film still lacks a Director, or even a script, but the Vancouver-born Reynolds, 33, has assured all the nerds their patience will meet with reward. “The studio want to make an authentic ‘Deadpool’ movie; as close to the source as possible. And I get to be the authentication police,” he told the scribes with a grin.

It wouldn’t surprise me if he had her drugged.

“Spencer has tried to cut everyone out of her life,” Egelhoff tells Us. “I’ve been honest with Heidi, and it’s caused our relationship to decline. I’m more devastated about that than the marriage, because I’m confident the marriage won’t work out.”

“I think Spencer wants to possess Heidi more than marry her.” Adds Egelhoff - who famously fought with Pratt, 25, on The Hills: “God says love your enemies, but I never expected it to be my son-in-law.”

Can you say HATORADE??? Sounds like ole’ Darlene is just upset that Heidi wasn’t around to help with the Cranberry Stuffing. Someone needs to chillax….

Paris and Benji Call It Quits

Paris Hilton and Benji Madden officially threw in the towel yesterday, according to her rep. While Paris was recently spotted with her ex Stavros Niarchos over the weekend, friends say that had nothing to do with the breakup.

“Even though they are still in love, they felt it would be better to just be friends,” a source close to Hilton, 27, tells Us. “Benji was overprotective and controlling. He doesn’t get along with any of her friends,” the source tells Us. “Friends thought Paris had changed since being with Benji and she wants to be herself again.”

The couple did stay faithful to each other, stresses the source.

Welcome Bronx Mowgli Wentz

Pete Wentz and wife Ashlee Simpson-Wentz welcomed their first child, son Bronx Mowgli Wentz this past Thursday evening, November 20th in LA. Weighing in at 7 lbs, 11 oz and 20 ½ inches long, according to a spokesperson “Ashlee, Pete and baby Bronx are all healthy and happy, and thank everyone for their well wishes!”

“We’re thrilled. [Bronx] stayed up late the first night, smiling at everyone who came into the room,” Pete’s parents, Pete and Dale Wentz, told PEOPLE. “He already seems to have the independence and charm of both of his parents.”

After a month of rumors, Pete confirmed the pregnancy in May. The couple was out and about during the pregnancy, most notably appearing at the MTV VMAs in September.

Jacko’s Million-Dollar Bailout

It seems the financial crisis has hit everyone these days, including the King of Pop Michael Jackson.

According to official documents, the title to Jackson’s estate, Neverland, was transferred Monday to a company called Sycamore Valley Ranch Company LLC. Sycamore is a joint venture between Michael Jackson and a division of a company called Colony Capital. Colony Capital owns the Las Vegas Hilton, the Red Rock Country Club, and other Las Vegas properties.

Colony bailed out Jacko’s $23.5 million Neverland mortgage and the buzz around Vegas is that Jackson could end up performing at the Hilton in an effort to pay off his million-dollar bailout. Will the next big thing to hit Vegas be the King of Pop? Stay tuned to find out.
